The mission of artist Nicole Blattmann is to respond to human encounters in order to shape individual characters and thus bring them closer together.

Nicole Blattmann, born in 1985 in Appenzell, Switzerland, is an outstanding artist who has already gained international recognition with her award-winning portraits.

Nicole Blattmann’s art is characterized by a deep conviction: People in a free world can only live together in peace if there is simultaneously a high degree of tolerance towards other ways of life and everyone respects the individual characteristics of others. Solidarity plays a central role in living free from hatred and prejudice.

Her works embody the philosophy that the art of encounter can initiate the process of strengthening both the individual and the community. Nicole Blattmann poses the question: “But how can we encourage each other to achieve more freedom and peace?” Her art provides the answer by breaking down boundaries to create closeness.

Nicole Blattmann’s works are accents for more openness and freedom. They encourage us to think about and question our inner and outer boundaries and our own values. They challenge us to emphasize our own courage and step out of our comfort zone, because this is the only way we can strengthen ourselves and grow into wonderful characters.

Nicole Blattmann’s art conveys an appreciation for life and a connection to the world and the people who live in it. She shows that we can love life more when we recognize the beauty in the otherness of our fellow human beings. Nicole Blattmann is an asset to us and our gallery, and as a whole we benefit from the diversity of characters she portrays in her art.”
