We visited Andreas and Martina at La Gioia in Ascona to select our wedding rings, and it was simply wonderful. We received such a warm welcome upon arrival that we immediately felt at ease. The selection of rings was truly impressive, with something to suit every taste. What particularly surprised and delighted us was that when you buy rings from them, you get two nights' accommodation in one of their suites for free. That's an offer you don't find everywhere and it's a really lovely gesture. Andreas and Martina took a lot of time for us, listened carefully to our wishes and didn't try to talk us into anything. The advice was honest, relaxed and simply friendly. It never felt like a sales pitch, but rather like a conversation between friends. Everything else was just right too: the view is amazing, the atmosphere is super pleasant, and you can tell that the two of them put their heart and soul into it. We are a well-coordinated team. My wife is responsible for the jewellery; she has shaped the design of our collection. I am your point of contact for the art.

Both have over 20 years of experience as a married couple and know that it is the special moments of joy they share that keep a marriage together in the long term.

Martina is also the boss of our cat gang, consisting of the 3 Maine Coon cats Toni, Luigi and Da Vinci.

We love dolce vita, chilled sound, international soul food and people who also want to enjoy happiness in the moment.

Services

La Gioia Ascona is not a 5-star hotel, our concept is different. We offer you 6-star privacy and 6-star views. That’s why Karl Wild Verlag has selected us as one of the 100 most beautiful places to stay in Switzerland. Our location is as unique and special as you are.

P.S.: If you come with two other couples, then the whole location is yours, because there are no more than 6 guest deckchairs here.

Breakfast

Have breakfast when and what you want – here you don’t have to stand at attention at the breakfast buffet until 10 a.m. at the latest. You are here to relax and enjoy your time together. We’ll buy everything you want, you can have breakfast when you want. That’s how freedom works.

With us, you can not only relax, but also exercise. Our pool has a counter-current system, we have an outdoor stepper with over 270 steps, a pull-up bar, dip bars, kettlebells…
